EXPLORING THE ROLE OF PANCHAKARMA IN PEDIATRIC DISORDERS: AN OVERVIEW

Introduction: One of Kayachikitsa's specialties is panchakarma, which consists of five main therapeutic treatments for body cleaning and detoxification in addition to several auxiliary operations. Actually, Panchakarma is useful in all Astangayurvedic branches and can also be applied in Kaumarbhritya to provide a complete treatment for a variety of pediatric ailments. This review was conducted to investigate the meaning and variants of Panchakarma in Bala-Roga, as well as to investigate the notion of Panchakarma in children. Supplies Materials and Methods: The literature on Panchakarma in Children was gathered from a variety of traditional Ayurvedic textbooks, published research papers from online resources, earlier studies, and compilations. Children's understanding of panchakarma was thoroughly examined. Results: The majority of earlier research has focused on the benefits of Panchakarma for kids; yet, few clinical trials have been conducted to examine the procedure's efficacy for kids. When used with caution, panchakarma treatments are just as effective on children as they are on adults. Conclusion: In conclusion, the secret to successfully administering panchakarma to children is having knowledge and experience with the treatment of pediatric illnesses. In Ayurvedic hospitals, increasing and mainstreaming Panchakarma procedures for children would undoubtedly give new hope in the treatment of pediatric illnesses.
